Types of Notifications

FirmRoom provides various types of notifications to keep you informed about important activities and updates within the platform.

Tip: Each user sets their own notification frequency. You can adjust the frequency and type of email notifications you receive in the User Settings. See this article for more info: How do I adjust my email notifications?

Notifications are automatically sent via email or can be found within the notifications tab on the left menu within FirmRoom.

Notifications are sent for activities in the data room such as:

When documents are uploaded
When users have been invited
When new members are invited

Other types of notifications:

In addition to the notifications mentioned above, FirmRoom offers the following types of notifications:

Location-based Login: You will receive a notification when you log in from a new location.

Making an Announcement: Admins can do this using the Create announcement button within the notifications tab on the left side of the screen. This would be an immediate notification.

Tracking Activity in the Audit Log

If you need to track specific activities or access a detailed report of all activities in FirmRoom, as an admin you can also utilize the Audit Log.

To access the Audit Log:

Navigate to the Reports tab at the top.
Select Audit Log from the left menu.
Choose a date range to narrow down the results.
Use the Activities dropdown to select the specific activity you want to track or generate a report on.
Optionally, you can filter the results by selecting a specific user or group from the Users dropdown.
To export the information to an Excel file, click on the Export to Excel option located in the top right corner of the page.

Note: Only admins have access to the audit log.
