# How do I change the name of my data room?

Executing a deal in M&A can be a long journey, and things often change along the way. FirmRoom is purpose-built to provide the flexibility you need, so as your deal evolves, your data room can too. In this article, we’ll walk through how to update your **Data Room** name and URL.

### Changing the Name and URL of Your Data Room
To update your **Data Room** name:
1. Go to your room settings.
2. In the side panel, click **General**.
3. At the top of the page, you’ll see **Room Name**—you can edit it here.

4. If you’d like the URL to reflect the new name, just have an admin in the room email our support team at support@firmroom.com. Be sure to include the current room name and the new name you'd like reflected in the URL. We’ll take care of it in real-time.
