# How do I add members?

Adding members to a data room is simple when your permission groups are properly set up. At FirmRoom, we recommend ensuring that each group has the appropriate permissions before adding members. In this article, we'll walk you through the steps to add a user. 1. Navigate to the **Permissions** tab in the top navigation.
2. Click the blue **Invite User** button.

3. A pop-up window will appear. Enter the user’s email, select the appropriate permission group, and optionally include a message. You can add multiple emails in a single invite.

4. Click **Invite User**. 
5. Another pop-up window will appear asking for confirmation. Click **Invite** and then the invitation will be sent to their email.

6. You should see the users invited at the bottom of the member's tab, along with the group they are invited to. If you need to resend the invites, there will be an option to the right of their name. Click **Resend**.

7. You can also remove a member from the group by hovering over the far right section of their name. Click the icon that appears.

8. There will be a pop-up confirming your changes.
